Giving is a large part of the ethos at Congleton Lodge, and the Charities and the areas we support are many and varied, and are not only the Masonic Charities. We cover all other sections of society.
Our contributions go via United Grand Lodge to organisations connected with, Disability, Vulnerable People, Youth Opportunity, Medical Research, and Religious Buildings.
Contributions from the Congleton Lodge go to several local as well as national organisations.
We support the Congleton Talking Newspaper, The Children's Adventure Farm Trust, St Luke’s Hospice, The Donna Louise Trust, Lifelites, the Salvation Army and the Reynauds and Scleroderma Association. and many others.
All these contributions come only from Freemasons and they are not from any other source. .
There are many other numerous good causes which the members support through giving as well as patronage of social events throughout the year.
Below, left are pictures of Past Masters of the Lodge, Worshipful Brother Jagger and Worshipful Brother Hurst, presenting cheques to local charities. One to the "Poppy Day" appeal and the others to local Scout groups and Congleton Talking Newspaper.
